Bocci 28.1 Pendant

Description

Series 28 celebrates the nature of the manufacturing process and form. A complex glass blowing technique is used whereby air pressure is inserted and then removed from a glass matrix which is slowly heated and then quickly cooled. The result is a distorted spherical shape with isolated inner shapes that have imploded towards the core, including the light source. This results in irregularities which become part of the beauty of series 28 – and each handmade shade is unique.

The shades are clear as standard although there are a wide variety of colours available on request – please contact us for details. The 28.1 is the single drop pendant variation of this series, suitable for dropping above a coffee table or in a hallway. Cluster variations are also available.

Several canopy options to choose from including deep or shallow surface mounted, mini and recessed canopies. The standard drop is adjustable up to 3 metres (longer drops on request).

Please note: the shallow canopy is designed to fit over a new or existing 4” octagonal junction box. The Mini, Mini Innie and Mini Outie canopies require power supplies to be remote mounted.

About the manufacturer

In 2005, Bocci was founded in a red barn surrounded by hay fields on the periphery of Vancouver, Canada. The company launched with one product, 14 pendant light, which became an instant classic and remains a design staple and bestseller.
