The intriguing Dot Pendant by Lumina gives the illusion of a floating disc of light. Dot is able to exceed the limitations of technology from the past with an innovative heat transfer system, allowing the lower disc to hold an integrated LED light source ring at such small dimensions without overheating. The sleek stem joins the light source to the reflector, where the light bounces off of in all directions to create a soft indirect glow whilst also absorbing the heat into the heatsink to prolong its life. Available in 3 different sizes (see ‘Specification’ tab for info) and 2 finishes: anodised black or brass. Showcase the suspension light either or individually above a dining table or in a cluster down a spiral staircase and more.

In 1973 Tommaso Cimini took a bare transformer and created a simple handmade desk light. The result was Daphine, an iconic piece of functional lighting design that is displayed in the most important museums of contemporary art and design worldwide. From this success Lumina was born, with a passion for using the talents of designers such as Walter Monici, Riccardo Blumer, Yaacov Kaufman, Emanuele Ricci, Studio DDL and Foster + Partners to develop lighting that is unique, innovative and beautiful.
The family business is now in the hands of Tommaso Cimini's sons, Ettore & Andrea, who have retained the original values - all production still takes place in the Milan area and utilises the knowledge of local skilled craftsmen. The mix of creative design and artisan skill combines to create a memorable lighting collection where attention to detail is fundamental.
