- Our Top Tips -
- Constant current or constant voltage, which version do you need? Decisions, decisions...
- Firstly, whichever version you choose it is really important that your electrician knows how to wire them – see installation diagrams here
- Series wiring with constant current will enable you to have the driver a longer distance from the fittings, up to 30m from the lights with the correct cable size.
- With constant voltage the driver can only go up to 15m away from the fittings. In areas where voltage may fluctuate it is better to choose constant current version.
The Point Large gives a lumen output of 1000 lumens in warm white this is ideal for lighting shrubs and trees up to 10m high for anything bigger we recommend going up to the next size. For wider fuller tree’s, pick a wider beam angle and for slimmer trees or shrubs go for a narrower angle. What does the anti-glare guard do? This softens the light and we recommend its use in any position where the light unit is completely visible – for example not hidden by shrubs. Mounting strap – this isn’t for your trousers! This can be strapped to a tree at high level. Then the Point spot can be mounted in shining down this creates what is called “ Moonlight “ effect. Drivers need to be accessible and we advise not burying them under ground in case maintenance is required. Still unsure of what you need? Then please call or use our chat for help.
