About the project

What we did.

Ström Architects had a clear concept of what they wanted to achieve for their clients and we worked closely to their brief.  A large emphasis was placed on the landscape surrounding the area, so the house and site were considered as one. As such, the scheme called for a combination of minimalist and discrete lighting, layered to create a feeling of warm and inviting light.

General lighting throughout the project is provided by DLD Andes round trimless single and twin adjustable trimless downights, with the IP65 rated fixed trimless downlights used in the bathrooms. The minimalist Flexalighting Jos F2 trimless projector spot lights were installed in multiple pairs throughout the open plan kitchen and dining room. In the open plan dining room, a row of 5 Davide Groppi Miss spot pendants were used to make a minimalist statement and match the Flexalighting Jos. Finally, SNL profile by LED Profilelement was used with Lightflow dim-to-warm LED tape to create the shadow gaps, shelving lighting and ambient linear lines of light. Altea floor uplight with anti glare baffle cover were used in the landscape lighting in the impressive pool and gardens.
