When you think of Australia, what's the 1st thing that springs to mind? Kangaroos? Didgeridoos? Hats with little corks? Maybe it should be contemporary lighting design and construction. Zanetto Builders in Tasmania are a prestigious building firm that specialise in high-end contemporary new builds. The owner wanted to use his home to showcase the talents of his company. And when it came to designing a complimentary lighting scheme, that's where we stepped in.
Working totally remotely, we designed a lighting scheme that would subtly highlight the workmanship of this contemporary show home. Starting at the front of the property, Altea round uplights and Altea maxi recessed uplights were used to bathe the panelling and shrubs in a warm light. The steps utilise linear LED - the beams of light successfully creating a floating effect.
Moving through the property a combination of Andes and Andes Mini downlights and Punto 6 multiple downlights were plastered into the ceiling to create a seamless effect. Linear SNL profile by LED Profilelement with Lightflow LED tape and Shadowline modular track systems provide a mixture of focused task lighting and ambient mood lighting, again all plastered into the architecture.
For a garden lighting scheme that is definitely more dynamite than Vegemite, IP rated DLD Lightflow LED tape with linear profile provides a subtle step light from the patio onto the grass. Point spike spotlights by LLD highlight the shrubbery in the large planters, creating a perfect place to relax in the evening and enjoy the beautiful Tasmanian sunsets.
