About the project

What we did.

With the views of the surrounding countryside an integral part of the design, our lighting plan had to frame the beautiful panoramas whilst also providing the necessary functional lighting. We used the Andes plaster-in single and twin downlights throughout, which offer an industry leading CRI98 colour rendering light. The adjustable functionality allows the light to be used to provide general lighting or to pick out details such as artwork and curtains, depending on the space. As the fittings are plaster in, they blend into the architecture seamlessly. This theme is continued with the use of plaster-in Shadowline track system lighting, which gives us the flexibility to change LED modules from linear LED to downlights. SNL profile and LED tape adds subtle ambient lighting in ceiling coving throughout the design. The Cris spotlight highlights the eaves of the ceiling in the entertainment room which is linked to the stunning swimming pool.

For the outdoor lighting package, we employed a combination of Altea round uplights and Altea maxi recessed uplights recessed into the floor, Uma step and low level lights, Point spot lights and Bia recessed path lights to both create a focal point of the extraordinary architectural features and to light walkways, paths and outdoor seating areas.
