Spring 2007
Darklight Design became the lighting designers for this interesting project based in Waltham St Lawrence in Berkshire. This is stunning converted church with beautiful natural features with its stained glass windows and dramatic curved arches.
We have used the Hurricane Recessed Uplight to great effect here, casting light from the floor up onto the arch capturing the dark and light effect in a dramatic way. The general lighting in the main kitchen area was achieved using the Isis 50 Recessed Adjustable Down-light. We have also used the Square 2 Double Recessed Down-light over the dining table splashing a pool of light down onto the feature flower. In the main lounge area the Artemide Talo wall lamp was used for general illumination. The exterior is also illuminated using the very subtle Spike light, washing light up onto building.

During our Church conversion Chris Linturn worked tirelessly alongside us to create a wonderful ambience highlighting exposed beams, stonework and artwork. The result really has the 'wow' factor which makes an enormous difference. With the exterior, lovely soft lighting shows off the building and the stained glass windows together with the garden.
Nothing is too much trouble and Chris is only too happy to be on hand to assist with any queries or concerns."
