Description

The DLD Andes 2 fixed plaster-in twin downlight has a bathroom-friendly IP65 rating making it the perfect directional plaster-in light fitting for bathroom zone 1 installation. Equipped with glare reducing deep black baffles, the Andes downlight collection boasts our True Colour CRI98 LED chip which renders colour with amazing accuracy.

The rectangular frame is fixed directly into the ceiling before plastering and decorating. The result is a seamless finish with the surrounding architecture and no risk of damaging the LED fitting during the install. It's easy to take the LED light engine in and out of the frame, keeping maintenance access simple. Pick from 15º or 36º beam angles for a narrower or wider spread of light depending what effect is needed. Die-cast aluminium luminaire with steel housing. Heat sink in forged aluminium for optimum heat dissipation. Reflector in plastic PC. Bezel ring in white or black finish with an inner black baffle. Our downlights are fire rated as standard, and have lasted over 60 minutes in independent tests by Cambridge Fire Research. The Andes range is fully dimmable, supporting 0-10V, TRIAC or DALI drivers.

Wireless dimming from your smartphone

This luminaire can also be used with the Casambi dimming units to give flexible control of all the lights in your home. Create the perfect mood for all situations wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.0 and save them as pre-set scenes on the Casambi app from your smartphone. Or control the scene at the touch of a button, either with Casambi wireless wall switches or with an off-the-shelf push dimmable on/off switch.  See the 'You May Also Need...' section below for the available options and technical information.

Emergency lighting compatible

Emergency pack available as an extra. By utilising the optional emergency pack this luminaire can be used as a back-up emergency light fitting that complies with standard building safety regulations. In the event of a power outage this high performance fitting becomes a low lux emergency light, operating at around 10% of it’s original performance with a battery life of 3 hours. Please contact us for details.
