- Our Top Tips -
- Constant current or constant voltage, which version do you need? Decisions, decisions...
- Firstly, whichever version you choose it is really important that your electrician knows how to wire them – see installation diagrams here
- Series wiring with constant current will enable you to have the driver a longer distance from the fittings, up to 30m from the lights with the correct cable size.
- With constant voltage the driver can only go up to 15m away from the fittings. In areas where voltage may fluctuate it is better to choose constant current version.
The Point Medium is ideal for lighting shrubs up to 6m high for anything bigger we recommend going up to the next size. You can of course choose between a narrow beam angle to light slimmer taller shrubs or a wide beam angle to light shorter larger shrubs. What does the anti-glare guard do? This softens the light and we recommend its use in any position where the light unit is completely visible – for example not hidden by shrubs. Mounting strap – this isn’t for your trousers! This can be strapped to a tree at high level. Then the Point spot can be mounted in shining down this creates what is called “ Moonlight “ effect.- Drivers need to be accessible and we advise not burying them under ground in case maintenance is required.
